Bekah Wright is a freelance journalist specializing in travel, entertainment and lifestyle. The Connecticut resident divides her time between tackling adventures around the globe and shining a light on her new home state. Yes, she's fallen head over heels with Connecticut. 

A graduate of the University of North Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Bekah was in the film industry for 15 years. She gravitated back to journalism, becoming the travel editor for Los Angeles Weddings magazine, Orange Coast Weddings magazine and Toddler/NewParent.com. Most recently, she was the senior editor of Parentology, which shuttered during COVID.

For several years, Bekah wrote the ongoing columns 3 Questions With... column for AAA Hawaii. Her celebrity travel column, Five Miles Up With..., was a weekly feature on Yahoo Travel from 2012 through 2014.

In addition, her articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, TakePart (Participant Media), Yahoo Travel, TV Guide, Bon Appetit, National Geographic Kids, BRIDES, E!'s MyStyle,  HILuxury, Chicago Magazine, Seattle Metropolitan, Portland Monthly, San Diego Magazine, Orange Coast Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, Parentology, CT Insider, Connecticut Magazine and many other outlets.

In 2016, Bekah executive produced the award-nominated virtual reality (VR) project Winter Majesty, Grand Canyon South Rim for the Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce. 

Over the past year, she's delved into Connecticut’s storytelling scene. Her life hasn’t been the same since. To say she’s passionate about storytelling would be an understatement. A driving force for Bekah--traveling the globe and learning about new cultures by engaging in “talk story” with unique individuals around the world. Now, she’s sharing those experiences from behind the microphone.
